Head of Herzog College. A graduate of Yeshivat HaKotel, he received semicha (rabbinic ordination) from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, and holds a Ph.D. in Talmud from Hebrew University. Previously taught and served as principal at the Himmelfarb high school in Jerusalem. Member of the national plenum of the Bnei Akiva youth movement and additional educational and Torah organizations. Has authored many articles and books on topics in Judaism and Education in the framework of the research program of the Israeli Institute for Democracy, he published the following books: Judaism and Human Rights and Judaism and Civic Rights.
